Making ceramics essentially involves playing with mud and fire.  I try to find ways to freeze the energy and life of this playing in a finished object , hoping to express a combination of geological nature, human touch and soul.

My work is domestic, mostly thrown on a kick wheel, and is all fired in the wood fuelled flames of an anagama kiln - currently Milly, my new kiln at new workshop in Wales.
