| Making
objects I develop ideas. I engage my dialogue with the idea itself,
and leave some space for the viewer to interact.
I
believe that materials such as ceramics and raw clay, when involved
with sound and light, can present a variety of messages. They contain
an inner knowledge of social issues, and hint at their impermanent
status.
My
main point is that compassion is an important attitude for young
artists who live within a decadent Western society.
I use the spatial environment of the work as a channel to suggest
interactions between philosophical values and the materials used.
Permanent
status, natural senses, or consciousness cannot answer the emotional.
Love, instead, finds its way forward through visual expression and
can develop through the seasoning of imagination.
