ARTIST STATEMENT
The crumpled remains of the daddy-long-legs stayed on the window sill of the old cottage. Cracks in the window had not registered, its vision and view of the world unknown to us. One leg was broken off in the last struggle to free itself, the other legs bent at unnatural angles.
I can see beyond the window now, I know the way out. The bonds that once prevented me from escape are unravelling now, the route is clear.
Behind me I see others not so lucky, they are caught in the spider’s trap; they struggle….to no avail.
