ANKE FAHNING

Sitting around the table.
Talking. Listening. Thinking.
Sinking in.
What has been said? What hasn’t? And where has it gone?
Red. White. Green.
A drop on the floor.
The movement is slow, a snapshot in time.
It could have been months. Or years. Or even longer.
I
get up and walk away.
What I leave behind, is the conversation we had.
The conversation we have not had.
