LETYCJA PIETRASZEWSKA

Created as a reaction to mainstream urban lifestyles, dirty streets, the shiny neon lights of take-away joints, this work is born out of a longing for the rituals and culture of times past.

What remains of the table culture refined through previous centuries?

Has consumption replaced culture as a status symbol?

We have become wasteful, careless, ignorant.

Will growing piles of rubbish be the only heritage we leave behind?
