I work on the wheel with porcelain and stoneware and explore variations on the vessel form.

I enjoy freedom of expression through painterly exploration of colour and texture. Colours and imprints from found objects reflect my love of bright, sunlit landscapes and seascapes and recall memories of travel.

As in music, which often accompanies me as I work, rhythms, tension and resolution, conflict and harmony resonate within my ceramic forms.

The salt-glaze adds a vibrant surface quality and enhances the textures. Each firing concludes with fresh and, occasionally, unexpected results, leading me to continue my creative journey.
